Alphabet STEM
Year-Long Curriculum for Kindergarten
Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and STEM Career Activities for the letters A through Z! These activities emphasize generally accepted outcomes for kindergarten readiness in the areas of math and science. The focus of this curriculum is to develop Stage 1 STEM skills and awareness of real-world STEM concepts and careers. This bundle includes activities for each letter of the alphabet!
Overview: Your students will explore STEM subjects with the following activities related to each letter of the alphabet. This includes an activity each to teach a science concept, an aspect of technology, an engineering design challenge, a math concept, and a STEM career highlight.

STEM Explorers
Grades: 2 - 5
Pack your bags and take your students on a voyage of STEM challenges that incorporate the engineering design process with themed activities from countries around the world. This STEM curriculum includes activities that travel to each continent and explore inventions and feats of engineering from places such as ancient Egypt and Antarctica! Explore STEM career connections, ice breaker activities, and math extension problems that are all included in each complete lesson.
From building the tallest tower of index cards to flying a paper airplane, stage one STEM challenges are the most basic activities. These challenges do not have an obvious connection to math and science concepts, and at first, may seem like superficial activities. However, they are important primary activities that serve to build a foundation of skills in problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and grit.

Stage 2 incorporates the design process and can be structured around themes or units of study. Vivify has several complete curriculum sets focused on teaching engineering design with real-world connections. Another option is to build a unit of challenges around a science theme such as life, space, or physical science. We also recommend adding a few fun seasonal STEM activities during the holidays. Assembling such an event on your own can be a logistic challenge, which is why this bundle streamlines the whole process from beginning to end. Our Family STEM Night Bundle includes 11 hands-on, super fun stations with enough materials to support up to 100 families to participate.
